How Much Do You Know About Eyelashes Extension?
What is eyelash extension?
Eyelash extenders are semi-permanent synthetic, artificial mink or silk fibers that are applied one by one to your natural lashes, carefully one at a time, using a specially formulated semi-permanent glue that won’t irritate or damage the natural lashes.
Unlike false lashes, where strips or individual lashes are applied to the skin, the extension cord connects directly to the lash itself. The result is thicker, thicker lashes and even a dispensable mascara.
Does eyelash extension look natural?
Eyelash extensions enhance your natural lashes, making them longer, fuller and more elevated. It’s up to the client whether the look is more noticeable or more natural, but in general, the more lashes you apply, the more noticeable the effect. Generally, each eye has 80-140 separate extensions, and the lashes are 6-18 mm in length. If your lashes are damaged, or if they are naturally weak and naturally short, it is not always possible to achieve the more dramatic look that clients with stronger, thicker lashes can achieve.
How long does this process take?
It generally takes one to two hours, depending on how you want to look. A good eyelash technician will take his time. Safety should be your number one priority. You must get a certified person to apply your eyelashes.
How much does it cost to graft eyelashes?
Costs vary by location, technician, and final look. Typically costing between $105 and $550, longer lashes are both a time commitment and a financial commitment, and can cost you thousands of dollars a year, depending on how often you fill them.
How do you care for eyelash extensions?
Avoid water for the first day or so until the glue is completely dry. Treat new lashes with TLC – don’t curl, apply mascara or rub your eyes. Basically, avoid anything that requires you to touch your lashes, and stay away from oily products and detergents. Mascara can be applied just to the tips of your lashes if you like, but it’s best to skip them altogether. After all, your new eyelashes should be eye-catching enough on their own.
How long does eyelash extension last?
Because lashes are attached to your own lashes, they last as long as the natural growth cycle, which is about six weeks. To extend extended life, use lash conditioner and gently brush lashes with a dry scroll brush. It is best to “replenish” every two to three weeks to fill in any sparse areas.
